Acro Video of the Month

Here is a video of the Senior Women's Trio from Heathrow Acrobatic Gymnastics Team while competing at the 2012 British Open Tournament in Stoke-on-Trent, England November 25th.  Crazy suits.  Awesome routine.  Millie the top has made an excellent transition from Mixed Pair top to Trio top.  It can be done.

Acro Pic of the Month

Here are two pictures from the 2012 British Open Tournament for Tumbling and Acrobatic Gymnastics.  This event took place at the Fenton Manor Sports Complex in Stoke-on-Trent, England on November 24th and 25th.  Here is a beautiful trio under the Stoke-on-Trent sign and a dramatic start pose from the Junior Men's pair from Heathrow Club.
Not my clearest photo but a great shot in front of the sign.

Beautiful men's suit design with a nice start pose.

Acro Training Camp Success

The Gymnastics Ontario Training Camp for Acrobatic Gymnastics held at Oakville Gym Club on November 4th, 5th, and 6th with guest clinicians from Great Britain, was a huge success.  32 intermediate and elite level gymnasts, 10 coaches, 9 judges and a hole lot of hard work culminated in 3 fantastic days of learning and achievement.

Congratulations to all of the participants on their efforts. This up coming season promises to be the best yet with some of the most excited acrobatic gymnastics ever in Canada.

Thank you to the judges who took the time to get together during this event to refresh and refocus as our competitive season is starting next month.

Thank you to the coaches that all worked together and learned from each other.

A special thank you to Douglas Fordyce and Edward Upcott of the UK for the exceptional effort, attention and enthusiasm they put into this camp.  The athletes learned so much and all had a great time getting to know the guys.  The athletes especially enjoyed hearing stories of their training and experience with Britain's Got Talent.
